I am no stranger to the mystic wide open blue ocean. I was I life guard a couple of years ago and also frequently went out fishing with friends. Unfortunately I lost touch when life took me on a bad road. I got stuck in a rut for a couple of years.

Then came my very first introduction to sailing. I remember that my first thought was, "what if we donner over". Just as we left the harbor entrance that thought was no where to found. Sailing is not like a power boat trip. It's just you, the yacht and the elements working together to take the journey.

Looking out at that vast open ocean I immediately left all my problems ashore, no stress, no worries. Each trip even if it just for a while is freedom. Out there I'm not bound to the clutches of everyday life. When I get back from the trip I feel alive again and a sense almost reborn.

I was hooked and I'm definitely in it for the long run.
