Cape St. Francis Race:
Nine boats and two finishers - Tikalox and Margie. The fleet had to do that thing that cruisers hate, BEAT, to Cape St. Francis in a west. Along with a
building confused sea and time constraints many boats decided to head for home whilst avoiding the whale pods. Had a chat to a couple of guys who did the race and the enthusiasm for another Cape St. Francis race is definitely high.
East Cape Provicials:
This was held on the same weekend down in Sedgefield as the Cape St. Francis Race. We had a whole heap of ABYC'ers travel down - some to compete, some to help, some to drink, some to think. ABYC members assisting on the bridge, finish boats, rescue and office were Ronnie & Glynnis Baer, Graham Snowball, Gavin Stephens was accompanied by Dylan and Jason on the Optimist finish duck. ABYC also helped out with the loan of a duck, radios, flags, marks, anchors and chain.
If I hear another MIRACLE joke I will scream - a small sample; "It is a Miracle that dinghy floats, Alan!", "All I need is a Miracle!", "Well, it looks like nothing Miraculous happened in that race, Alan!" and so on and so on.
