The Algoa Bay Yacht Club in the Port of Port Elizabeth – the clubhouse was built from the ground up by members subscriptions – first as a double garage, then a double storey and then, after a fore in 2006 into the grand building it is today. ABYC no longer occupy the building after being evicted by Transnet in a dispute over rental.
